What Level Am I?

Each ride or clinic will have an associated skill level. You know yourself best and we encourage you to understand what skill level you fall under when choosing your activities!

Level 1

New to mountain biking. You have (maybe) been on a mountain bike once before but can definitely ride a bike on the road or gravel.

Level 2

You consider yourself a beginner. You have ridden on singletrack a handful of times but still unsure on exactly where your body should be or what gear to be in… but you love it!

Level 3

A strong beginner. You love riding flat singletrack and able to ride at a slight downhill angle while standing up on your bike and can control your braking. You are not yet ready to go on steep trails or over rocks and roots.

Level 4

Feeling like an intermediate rider? You are starting to ride on a more regular basis and really enjoy trying out more technical terrain with more roots and rocks. You understand the mechanics of shifting properly, suspension, and you are getting more comfortable on steeper terrain.

Level 5

You have no problem riding blue trails, even with more technical terrain coming your way. As a strong intermediate rider, you’ve even thought about trying black trails!

Level 6

As an advanced rider, you are confident on expert trails (black) and technical terrain – you even sometimes leave the ground! You feel confident with steep descents and can anticipate the skills needed on different types of terrain.

Level 7

Expert, Expert! You don’t blink an eye at any terrain that’s thrown your way. You feel comfortable riding all green, blue, black and double black trails and even larger drops are a breeze.
